Catching fish on a summer camp canoe trip.

Welcome!

Come back to where it all began! Whether it’s the Quetico, the Hawkcliff, the English, or the Sandford, these alumni canoe trips are your chance to paddle old waters, relive nights spent around the crackling campfire, and reconnect with lifelong friends. The adventure is still out there – grab a paddle and join us!

Schedule

Right after the second session with campers finishes, you will be arriving to camp prior to one of six offered canoe trips. All trips are set to return within a day of each other, and the alumni canoe trip session will end with a final campfire on the shores of Cass Lake, where everyone will share their stories from the trail.

More Info

These trips are a great way to get back on the trail and experience the pristine Canadian wilderness we all know and love! Arrive the night before your trip – this will give you time for an orientation/refresher about our tripping philsophy and some of the important pieces of information you need to know before heading out the next morning (like how to use the satellite phones). This will also give you and your trip time to pack and get the van ready.

Chippewa will provide most of the gear, like tents, canoes, paddles, food, cooking kits, first aid kits, maps, duluth packs and wanigans. All of the canoe trips end on Friday, 8/21 or Saturday, 8/22 – a van will meet you at the designated pickup spots and drive you back to camp before dinner. Meals will be provided onsite at Chippewa, and lunches will be packed for van travel days. Departure from camp will be the morning after your trip, but feel free to stay for the Final Campfire around 8:00pm on Saturday, 8/22 and depart from camp the next morning!

Keep up-to-date with all things Chippewa!
